At Our Ancestral Legacy, we're excited to unveil the first bronze cast in our new "Descendants of Kings" series! This collection celebrates the legacy of ancient rulers through handcrafted bronze artwork, honoring the lineage and history that connect us to these legendary figures. Our artist was so inspired to start that he chose a king we hadn't even discussed but one he saw as the greatest of them all: Cnut the Great. Known as a powerful ruler of Denmark, Norway, and England, Cnut's legacy has echoed through the centuries and whose legacy endures to this day. 

The Vision Behind the Art

Our artist's choice to begin with Cnut was driven by admiration for the king's strength and influence. Known as one of the most powerful Viking rulers, Cnut united vast lands under his reign, leaving a legacy of bravery, leadership, and cultural influence that resonates deeply within Nordic and British history.

Using a rare painting of Cnut created during Cnut's lifetime, our artist transformed his features to reflect a more Norse appearance, as he belive the painting have been polished to befitting a British king. With this interpretation the coin honors both Cnut's Scandinavian roots and his British rule.

This bronze cast features symbols directly from Cnut's own coinage, capturing authentic elements of his rule in every detail. Through meticulous research, sketches, and clay modeling, our artist has reimagined Cnut's appearance, infusing the piece with both historical accuracy and artistic depth.

This isn't just a piece of art—it's a tribute to the ancestry and legacy that connects so many to this extraordinary king. Our artist was to quick to get started, as Cnut's direct line ended soon after his reign, we honor his legacy through his sister Estrid, whose descendants live on today. To recognize this connection, we are introducing this coin not as a " Descendants of Kings" coin but a Cnut the Great  "Related To" Coin 

Craftsmanship with Attention to Detail

Each piece in this limited series is meticulously handcrafted here in Denmark, where we preserve the traditional methods of bronze casting to maintain authenticity. At 14 cm in diameter and weighing 750 grams, this bronze coin or plate is both a work of art and a piece of historical reverence, celebrating a lineage that binds past to present.

The inscription on the bronze coin will  read your name and  "Related To," allowing those connected to Cnut through lineage to honor this connection. While Cnut's direct line ended shortly after his reign, his legacy continues through his sister Estrid, whose descendants carry the royal bloodline forward.

Limited Edition & Exclusively Available by Proof of Relation

To further highlight the significance of this royal heritage, only 500 of these bronze coins will be cast. Each plate will be numbered, making it a truly exclusive heirloom. This piece is reserved for those who can trace their family history back to Cnut the Great. To qualify, we ask for a GEDCOM file or proof of relation through genealogy research.
